From Uncertainty to Safety: Cleo’s Journey from Abu Dhabi to a New Temporary Home

When global uncertainty reaches into everyday lives, its impact is often felt in deeply personal ways. For Cleo—a small dog with a big personality—that uncertainty sparked an unexpected journey across continents.

Cleo’s owner, who works in construction in Abu Dhabi, UAE, recently faced the unsettling possibility of needing to evacuate the country at short notice. While emergency plans can move people quickly, relocating pets is far more complicated. Wanting to ensure Cleo’s safety no matter what lay ahead, her owner reached out to friends in the UK in search of a temporary foster home.

That’s where we came in.

After a long journey, Cleo arrived safely in the UK, where our Managing Director, Lisa, welcomed her with open arms. Since then, Cleo has settled in brilliantly—both at home and in the office. She’s already made quite the impression, confidently taking charge and happily “supervising” everyone around her, whether they walk on two legs or four.

It’s safe to say she’s become part of the team.

While her stay with us is only temporary, Cleo’s presence has been a joyful reminder of how small acts of kindness can make a big difference during uncertain times. She’s brought energy, laughter, and just a touch of mischief into our daily routine—and we’re already dreading the day she might have to leave.

For now, though, Cleo is safe, happy, and very much at home.
